Jeremy Saks works with clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations to resolve intellectual property disputes in U.S. district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Jeremy has particular experience working with patents and trade secrets in the pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, and consumer products industries.

Jeremy’s expansive litigation practice spans a broad range of technologies. His experience includes litigating both Hatch-Waxman and competitor pharmaceutical cases for products such as ophthalmic compositions, psoriasis lotions, creams and ointments, acne treatment medications, and cardiac disease treatments. Jeremy also has extensive and diverse experience litigating intellectual property disputes involving gene therapy technology and mRNA therapies, combination medical device products, lithium-ion battery technologies, and design patent protected consumer products.

Jeremy has been involved in a number of significant case wins in recent years. In an ITC investigation involving both utility and design patents, he led a team that secured a general exclusion order against a number of foreign manufacturers who were importing large numbers of infringing electronic head shaver consumer products into the U.S. In another notable win, Jeremy was a lead attorney in a three-year patent and trade secret dispute involving a successful medical device that he prepared to the eve of trial, when the matter was resolved with a favorable settlement.

Jeremy’s pro bono work and leadership positions are a reflection of his deep-seated dedication to equality and inclusion. Jeremy serves on the associate board of Immigration Equality, the nation’s leading LGBTQ immigrant rights organization. Through Immigration Equality, Jeremy has handled a number of asylum cases for LGBTQ immigrants. He is also the former chair of RainbowFish, Fish & Richardson's LGBTQ Affinity Group, which aims to provide a safe and inclusive place for LGBTQ members of the Fish community to connect and maintain an open dialogue about common interests and challenges.

Jeremy earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his master’s degree in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. While attending law school, Jeremy served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
